Safety valves

The task of safety valves is to release the pressure from the process if it exceeds the pressure setting of the valve. The pressure setting is implemented by a spring compressed between spring plates. The upper end of the spring plate is locked, which means that the force only acts downwards. If the pressure under the cone exceeds the spring force, the safety valve opens. The safety valve closes at 10...30% below the pressure setting, for which reason the operating pressure cannot be too high.

Our product range includes a comprehensive choice of safety valves for the requirements of different processes.
Small threaded, acid-resistant valves for the process industry are supplemented by large steam safety valves for the high-pressure side, including the DIN and ASME range.

The product range includes normal-lift and high-lift safety valves, valves with an open or closed seat as well as hoods from an open to a gas tight model. Our range most certainly includes an appropriate model for steam, liquid and gas applications. Dynamic and/or static backpressure may not exceed 10% of the set pressure, but if this cannot be avoided, the safety valve can be equipped with pressure equalisation bellows.

A good buffer stock facilitates urgent deliveries

We will dimension and choose safety valves appropriate for the customers’ applications.

We keep a good buffer stock of bodies and springs for different models. In the case of urgent deliveries, we will tune the valves quickly and reliably to the desired set pressure. We also offer safety valve maintenance services.
